January 2024 Prayer Letter
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy New Year. “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him”. We are so thankful that we serve the living God that we can trust!
Last October, we had a few meetings in Pennsylvania. The Lord was definitely in it and blessed the trip in many ways. We now have three new supporting churches! We knew before all this happened that we needed more support, so this is a great encouragement and help. Also, during one of the meetings, we met a nurse who works with a doctor specializing in autoimmune diseases like Sarah’s. She was able to pull some strings and get us in with the doctor that week! This was a huge blessing as the Lord gave us some vital help that Sarah’s doctor in North Carolina was able to implement. We are already seeing big steps forward with this new treatment she’s doing!
In November, I flew down to Mexico to check on the work and encourage the brethren. It was extremely busy but fruitful. I arrived on Tuesday late afternoon. Wednesday, I had multiple meetings and then service in the evening. Thursday, I taught for five hours in a bible institute for another pastor. Friday through Sunday was the fourth-anniversary conference of the church. On my last day, Monday, they threw me a going away party. It was busy, and I was all over the place, but the Lord opened my eyes to many things with this visit. I left encouraged to see the faithfulness of the brethren as they go through the struggles of life, remain faithful, and continue to allow the Lord to grow them.
Thank you all for the continued prayers on the property deal in Mexico. The Lord, as always, is cleaning up the mess of foreign politics; praise God, it seems that everything should go through smoothly. There will be an answer for us on Jan 15th, so please keep it in your prayers. Lord willing it will be as we plan and we’ll have all the correct documents to submit to the national registry and we can finally privatize the property in the name of the church.
As I’ve stated more than once, we know God’s hand is in this trial of our faith. There are so many things he’s doing, and in His perfect timing, we will be headed back down to Mexico for our next term. The Lord has been showing us a lot about ourselves, Himself, the work in Mexico, and His will…and we are excited. We’ve been putting a lot of prayer into everything, and as He showed me the other day, “It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”… so we are just quietly waiting on Him to move us along.
We pray you all had a merry Christmas. With the beginning of the year, we pray the Lord gives you direction for His glory, and strength to do His will. Keep praying for the body of Christ to step up in these final days, and pray this year will be the year of the Lord’s return!
Brothers and Sisters, keep up the good fight! – Adam, Sarah, Kendra, Braden
