February 2026 Prayer Letter

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy 2026 everyone! Can you believe we’re in the year 2026? I can’t believe the Lord hasn’t come back yet; but the best place to be this year is in the good fight of faith!
Step by step the Lord continues to march us along in His steps with His vision here in Mexico. In early December, we made a small payment towards the property which has us at 69% paid off! This is the final year, 2026, to payoff the property. We as a church are in a lot of prayer on how the Lord wants us to do it, and many brethren are working and fundraising on their own to help towards the property fund. Praise the Lord, God has made every payment up to date so far, and we don’t expect any less with this last payment.
Sarah and I celebrated our 20th anniversary on New Year’s Eve! At times it feels like just a couple years, but as we look at everything the Lord has brought us through, it really has been half our lives…crazy. I’m really thankful for the amazing wife God has given me that has endured many things to please the Lord and serve in the ministry with me. Praise God!
This year for New Years we had our first watch night service! We had popcorn preaching including one of the teens; great testimonies of what the Lord did in 2025 (that really encouraged me personally), singing of course, group games as well as individual board games. Then, before midnight we took more testimonies along with prayer requests for 2026 and prayed bringing in 2026 in a spiritual way. I’ve heard many comments on it being a blessing for them, as well as some who weren’t able to attend said they want to at the end of this year.
We had the wedding of a young man who has been with us in the teen group since 2019. It’s always a blessing to see a teen/young adult wait for marriage and do things the right way; so to see it with one our young men that we’ve been ministering to for years now is awesome. The wedding turned out beautiful and the gospel was preached to many unsaved family members that were present. Praise the Lord.
We started an annual “lunada” this January that we will start doing every year around this time. A lunada consists of starting services at 6pm on Saturday night and it lasts well into the wee hours of Sunday morning. Throughout the night there are three full length messages preached, with three designated breakout sessions of specific prayer, music specials, food, games, fellowship, and campfire singing. It’s great that at the end, people were asking about services the next day! When we can develop the property more, the people will be able to camp out in the field and we can extend our time together through the night and into the next day. The theme this year was “family union” as God ordained. We are already excited about next year’s lunada.
Our winter is over, and we are looking into the spring with upcoming events which include our annual mission’s conference. The church has been faithfully giving to missions and praying for the seven missionaries they support for almost six years. This is the first conference where we will have two of those missionaries back on furlough to preach to the church. We are excited for the church to hopefully see the fruit of their sacrifices through the years for these two families. Please pray the Lord would prepare and bless this conference for the spiritual growth of the church.
As always brethren, thank you! From the bottom of our hearts, and thank you for your prayers and financial giving through the years, we see the fruit of it in our family as well as the ministry here in Mexico. We love you!
Brothers and Sisters, keep up the good fight!
